Job Description:
Evaluation of Transactions
Preparation/review of business plan, valuations and other comparative financial analysis for real estate projects
Engage in the transaction process which involves interaction with Developer, financial/legal advisors, internal approvals
Due diligence for target opportunities, carrying out market underwriting and liaising with advisors appointed on the transaction
Financial Modelling
Ease of creating excel models and accuracy of output
Analytical Skills
A sound understanding of analytical principles & financial conceptual understanding is required. Ability to translate the understanding to the real world situations & financial modeling skills are essential
Data Sourcing & Analysis
The candidate is expected to show initiative & drive in data sourcing analysis & a high level of awareness of the sector. Ability to cull “information” from data is essential.
Identification of new markets/categories
The candidate must spend time during free time visiting new markets & existing markets to get better understanding of the same so that the underwriting process is faster. Based on the markets knowledge & relationships with intermediaries, investee companies identify new categories to stay of the curve.
Eligibility:
Chartered Accountant / MBA with 3 - 5 years of experience
Strong knowledge of financial concepts
Ability to prioritize tasks, work on multiple engagements and manage rapidly changing assignments in a team environment
Ability to quickly evaluate and analyze companies and financial information
Strong working knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Excellent analytical and quantitative skills, as well as strong writing and communication skills
High level of attention to detail
Ability to work effectively with senior professionals in an engagement team
Prior experience in real estate private equity will be an advantage
